Common Questions

What is the minimum engagement for fractional CTO?

Minimum 10 hours/month. Typical engagement: 15-20 hours/week for 3-6 months during a transition or growth period. Some clients stay long-term at lower hours.

How do you work with existing engineering leadership?

Depends on structure. If there are tech leads, I mentor them and set direction. If there is no leadership, I fill that gap directly. I do not undermine existing authority; I support it.

What if we have a technical emergency?

I am available for urgent issues beyond normal hours. For critical incidents, I am on-call. I have managed several production emergencies and know how to triage and resolve quickly.
